Installation Guidelines
Congratulations! With TheMagicTouch Software, printing on transfer paper is a breeze. Thanks to its intuitive interface and smart automation, you’ll be creating in no time. Whether you’re an experienced designer or just starting out, TheMagicTouch delivers professional results every time. This guide explains step-by-step how to install and get the most out of the software.
Installing the Printer Driver
Install the printer driver first before connecting the printer to your computer and turning it on. This prevents your operating system (Windows or Mac) from automatically installing a driver that isn’t compatible with transfer paper.
Registering your printer
It’s important to get the most out of your warranty. Do this within 1 month of purchase via the links below to benefit from the maximum warranty for free.
Have you purchased a new OKI LED printer?
If you register within 30 days of purchase, your warranty will be extended free of charge from 1 year “Bring-in” to 3 years “On-site” according to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions.
Registering your OKI for extending the warranty.
Unpacking
When unpacking, carefully remove all colored tape and packing materials to avoid damage. Save the packaging after unpacking in case the printer needs to be transported. Once all packaging is removed, you’re ready to install the printer driver. Do not connect the printer yet; only do so if prompted during installation. This ensures you have the best driver on your PC.
For the most reliable operation and a good connection to TheMagicTouch Software, a USB cable connection is required.

Frequently Asked Questions
I can’t print from TheMagicTouch Software?
Software Troubleshooting: Print Button Is Grayed Out
It’s frustrating when you open TheMagicTouch Software Basic or Pro, only to find the Print button unavailable and the “Printer Selection” field empty. Fortunately, this is usually easy to fix!
Below are the steps you can take to restore the connection between your printer and the software.
1. Check the Printer Connection
The most common problem is a simple connection issue.
A USB connection is required: Check that the printer is connected with a USB printer cable.
Cable Check: Always check that the USB cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer.
Cable Length: To ensure a stable connection, never use a USB cable longer than 3 meters.
2. Check the Windows Printer Installation Status
The software relies on Windows correctly recognizing and installing the printer.
Type “Settings” in the Windows search bar.
Go to “System Settings” (or simply “Settings”).
Navigate to “Printers & Scanners”.
Check your printer: Check if your printer model is listed here.
If it isn’t, you must first install the printer driver following the instructions in the article: “Installing TheMagicTouch”.
Check the status: In “Printers & Scanners”, check if the printer is listed as “Online”.
If the printer is offline, check the USB cable connection.
3. Troubleshooting the software license file
The license must be installed correctly and the name must match your specific printer.
A. Confirming the License Installation and Serial Number
Open TheMagicTouch.
Go to the “Help” menu and select “About”.
Check if a license is installed and check the displayed serial number.
Critical check: Does the serial number of the installed license match the serial number of your printer? If this is not the case, please contact us via the support form so we can assist you with the correct license file.
B. Correct the license file name (the “(2)” error)
Windows sometimes renames duplicate files, preventing the software from correctly reading the license, even if the file is technically present.
The correct file name is: TheMagicTouch.license (where AK1234567 is your printer’s serial number).
Incorrect name Example: TheMagicTouch(2).license
The added (2) must be removed.
If your file name contains these characters, rename the file to the correct format.
C. Reinstall the correct license
If the license is correct but the printer is still not recognized, an incorrect license may be cached. You should delete the license files and reinstall the correct ones.
Software Version
File Path to Check – Action
Basic
C:\Program Data\TheMagicTouchB
Delete all license files in this folder.
Pro
C:\Program Data\TheMagicTouchPro
Delete all license files in this folder.
Once the file has been deleted from the corresponding folder:
Open the software.
Go to “Tools” -> “Install License”.
Reinstall the correct license file.
Note: Making Hidden Files Visible
The C:\ProgramData folder is usually hidden in Windows. To make it visible:
In Windows Explorer on the C drive, go to “Settings” -> “Options” -> “View”.
Under “Hidden Files and Folders”, select “Show hidden files, folders, and drives”.
Click OK. The C:\ProgramData folder should now be visible in File Manager. If the above steps don’t solve the problem, please contact us via the support form – we’re happy to help!
