TheMagicTouch Software Features

Revolutionize your printing process with TheMagicTouch. This innovative software offers a range of advanced features that increase efficiency, enhance print quality, and unlock new creative possibilities. From automated workflows to advanced color control, discover how TheMagicTouch can transform your printing operation.

Program Description

By default, the program opens image files on a white background. Transparent file types such as PNG, PSD, and TIF are displayed on white. The selected file is then converted from the original to CMYK and printed with the optimal settings for OKI CMYK printers or for the Ricoh 300/301/311 printers.
There are options to rotate and mirror the image, along with resizing (zooming). The result is displayed in a preview window. Multiple copies can be printed. If an image is small enough, it can be repeated to fit two or more copies onto the media.
There is the option to print the image with a mask print (pattern print). This improves the image’s stretch performance on the garment and opens up creative possibilities.
The output goes directly to the printer via the connection section of the installed USB driver. This program does not print with the standard printer driver or its settings, but uses the driver purely to process data communication. Paper type/tray/size/copies can be determined by the program. Options for printer, paper tray, media weight, media size, and number of copies are currently available.
Brightness and contrast controls, as well as a color profile control, are also available.
The program keeps track of the last five files used.

Features
The Program
A screen of TheMagicTouch Software Basic with a loaded file. The image is displayed as it would be printed. Here, the image is arranged so that it can be repeated and printed 2-up. The corners of the window can be dragged with the mouse to enlarge or reduce the window.
By selecting the media you want to print on, the software automatically makes the necessary settings.
For example, if you select TheMagicTouch TTC 3.1 for printing on white textiles, the image is automatically mirrored and ready for printing. In this example, the optimal number function produces two copies per sheet. Interface

If only the statistics are displayed but not printed, this can be adjusted via the Tools > Set Statistics menu.
Note:
If the Total Count setting is so large that the overall dpi is too high for printing, a message will be displayed. Image too large message
This is usually caused by a large number of small copies; the effective resolution has become too large to print. The resolution of the original artwork should be reduced in a graphics program to keep the print size small.
In general, the image resolution should be 200 to 400 dpi at the actual print size. The MagicTouch Pro can produce enormous print files when high X Quantity and Y Quantity settings are selected in combination with a high DPI. This can cause the printer to take a very long time to start printing.
Screen size or window size
By clicking the corner of the window with the mouse, Pulling will enlarge the window (and the thumbnail).
File Compatibility
TheMagicTouch Software can process the following file types:
Adobe Photoshop PSD (both RGB and CMYK) with transparency.
PSD (both RGB and CMYK) without transparency.
TIF RGB type with transparency (uncompressed and LZW; Zip compression is not supported).
TIF without transparency.
PNG (Portable Network Graphics) with transparency.
PNG without transparency.
GIF (Graphic Interchange Format) with transparency.
GIF without transparency.
Windows bitmap BMP.
JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) CMYK JPEGs are not supported.
Note: The GIF format only supports 256 colors and should not be used for full-color images. It is suitable for images with limited colors, such as logos.
Mask Print Function
Adobe Illustrator AI files from versions 3 through 6, and sometimes 8, are supported. These should be small and simple, as they act as a mask for printing.
Appendix
TheMagicTouch T.One and TheMagicTouch WOW 7.8
These products require a minimum amount of toner. If one of these two transfer paper types is selected, the program will display all areas where there is insufficient toner for a good result in the preview. Where colors are missing from the design, there is insufficient toner to successfully use these transfer paper types.
For example:
If TheMagicTouch T.One is selected, most of this image is deleted, indicating that this design cannot be processed properly with TheMagicTouch T.One. To process such images with TheMagicTouch T.One and TheMagicTouch WOW 7.8, an OKI printer with white toner and TheMagicTouch Software Pro are required. Hot Stamp Foil (TheMagicTouch T.Foil) also requires a level of toner, but in this case, the program produces a rich black color to make it work.
For Hot Stamp Foil, it’s best to use images with a transparent background, as this allows for easy detection of the image. In the case of JPG images, compression artifacts can make the image unusable. TheMagicTouch software is designed to mitigate this problem, but damaged edges will often be present.
Congratulations, you have TheMagicTouch Software, and we’re happy to help! This article contains everything you need, from installation, updates, compatibility, and frequently asked questions from existing TheMagicTouch Software users.
Congratulations on your purchase of TheMagicTouch Software! This in-depth article provides all the information you need to get the most out of this special software. ***
Features
TheMagicTouch Software Pro converts an image file, preferably with a transparent background, into a 3-channel (CMY) image and a white channel to control OKI printers that use white toner. Currently, these printers are:
C711WT
ES7411
Pro7411WT
Pro920WT
C920WT
ES9420WT
Pro9420WT
Pro8432WT
Crio8432WDT
The white density is automatically adjusted to maintain a consistent toner density. The level can be adjusted.
Program Description
The program opens image files and displays the image with a white background. If you select a print option that requires white, such as TheMagicTouch WOW 7.8 transfer paper, or if you enable or disable the Print White option, the image will be displayed on a transparent background if the image has a transparent background. If the image doesn’t have this, the program offers an option to attempt to remove the background.
The selected file is converted from the original to CMYK colors. This is a compromise, as CMY doesn’t have the same color gamut as CMYK, and prints won’t be as colorful as a true CMYK print. The transparent layer, if present, is converted to a mask and used to create a layer over the entire image or in the brighter areas. In the preview screen, this appears as white mixed with the colors, and this is what appears when “Show White” is enabled. On a printer with white toner, the layer is printed with white on top of the image. White is printed last. Some printers can print white first, and in this case, the white is underneath the colors.
There are options to rotate and mirror the image, along with resizing (zooming). The result is displayed in the preview screen. Multiple copies can be printed. The number of copies can be set automatically or manually. If an image is small enough, it can be resized to fit two or more images on the printout.
The output goes directly to the printer via the connection portion of the installed USB driver. This print Gramma does not print using the standard printer driver or its settings, but uses the driver purely to process data communication.
The advantage is that all TheMagicTouch transfer paper types are pre-set with all applicable parameters for perfect results.
The brightness and contrast controls can also be adjusted in the program, and a color profile control is included.
A license file is required to print with the program. You can obtain this from TheMagicTouch.
The license can be installed after the program is installed.
Keep a backup copy of your license file on separate media to prevent the license from being lost if something unexpected happens to your computer.
The program is installed with the language selected in the installer. This language is based on the version of Windowsâ„¢ being used and may not be as expected. This can be changed if necessary. To do this, use the option in the Tools > Language menu. TheMagicTouch Software Interface
