Is VersiFlex a new decoration technology?
Yes! VersiFlex is a completely new technology, designed from the ground up to offer the best of multiple decoration methods including DTF, DTG, sublimation and HTV, while eliminating many of their limitations. The patented VersiFlex decoration system features unique formulas that allow printing on a wide variety of materials including natural fabrics, uncoated woods and poly-coated blanks, all in a single, affordable system.
Is the VersiFlex Ink Set a new formula?
Yes. The VersiFlex Ink Set is a specially formulated ink set featuring dedicated C, M and Y carts, along with an Expander cart that allows for optimal transfers onto a variety of unique papers and vinyls.
Do I need special paper for VersiFlex?
Yes. Our innovative method uses unique paper types based on what you’re printing. For light-colored natural fabrics and uncoated products, our VersiFlex inks work with our VersiFlex Light Transfer Paper. For traditional hard and soft sublimation blanks, VersiFlex inks work with our award-winning TruePix Sublimation Transfer Paper. For everything else, VersiFlex inks are formulated to work with sublimation vinyl, so you can apply vibrant, long-lasting designs to almost anything.
What type of heat press is recommended for using VersiFlex?
VersiFlex works best with a heat press that allows you to manually adjust the pressure for optimal results.
Can I convert my current Sawgrass Sublimation printer to VersiFlex?
No. Due to the special formula, existing printers that already use Sublijet UHD, Chromablast or EasySubli ink are not compatible with the new ink set.
If I upgrade to a VersiFlex system, can I still print on my traditional sublimation products?
Yes. The VersiFlex Ink Set, when used with TruePix sublimation paper and the correct Sawgrass color profiles, will not produce a significant color difference when compared to the Sublijet UHD inks.
Does VersiFlex work with my existing MySawgrass and Sawgrass Print Utility accounts?
Yes. As the newest addition to the Sawgrass product suite, our programs are built to work perfectly with VersiFlex, no additional software required.
How should I handle and dispose of VersiFlex paper during the transfer process?
Quickly apply VersiFlex paper to your item while the ink is still wet, then press immediately. Remove the paper immediately after pressing with a low, hot peel.
Does VersiFlex work with my existing MySawgrass and Sawgrass Print Utility accounts?
Yes, no additional software is required.
What is the washing fastness of VersiFlex?
With VersiFlex, you can expect a quality image for up to 30 washes. All Sawgrass wash fastness tests were conducted using a normal wash cycle and medium temperature drying according to ISO standard. For best results, all products should be washed in cold water and air dried.
Is Sawgrass VersiFlex worth it?
If you are looking to decorate colored textile, and add a few more applications, such as wood, and more.
Is Sawgrass a DTF printer?
Both systems have the printing technology inkjet, but a Sawgrass printer is not a DTF printer.
Can I use different ink in my Sawgrass printer?
No, or you use the UHD inks, or the versiflex inks.
